Establishment of Oldenburger Dauersahne- und Süßwarenwerk GmbH

by brothers, Alfred and Dr. Engelhard Loesing, along with Walter Gloor in the Hindenburg barracks
in Cloppenburger Straße, Oldenburg.

Production of 10 % coffee cream in a 100 g glass bottle.

Year when the first TURM-Sahne caramel sweets were produced

Speciality cream sweets marketed under the well-known slogan: “Turmhoch in Qualität” [towering quality].
Move to Emsstraße, Oldenburg.

 
1957_2

New building and expansion

Construction of a new building in Emsstraße to expand and modernise the production site because of high demand and a rising number of varieties of TURM-Sahne caramel sweets.

 
1972_2

Dr. Engelhard Loesing is the last of the three company founders to retire.

The company’s shareholders,

each holding a share of one-third of the company, are Nordmilch eG, Butter- und Eier-Zentralgenossenschaft Oldenburg eG (BEZ, later MZO) and IGEMO-Milchwerke Oldenburg eG (now Molkerei Ammerland eG).

Consistent market strategy

Implementation of a consistent market strategy leads to a sharp rise in turnover, especially due to the extended range of coffee cream, cream sauce and other specialities.
Expansion in export activities.

Certification

Certification of the quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
Introduction of the company-specific HACCP concept.

 
1999_2

Merger

The merger of Nordmilch eG Zeven and MZO to become Nordmilch eG, resulted in two-thirds of the company shares being held by Nordmilch eG (DMK Deutsches Milchkontor since 01.05.2011) and one third being held by Molkerei Ammerland eG.

International Featured Standard

Certification in accordance with International Featured Standard (IFS).

60th anniversary of the company

60th anniversary of the company with an extensive range of celebratory events.
Finalist in the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” competition [award for medium-sized companies] held by the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation.

National Award

National award for outstanding achievements in quality inspections conducted out by Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft e.V. (DLG).

National Award for the 5th consecutive time

Highest German Quality Award – award ceremony in Berlin

(DLG). TURM-Sahne GmbH, based in Oldenburg, has now been awarded the National Award by the German Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) for the fifth time. This is the highest honour a company in the milk industry can obtain for its standard of quality. Together with the Parliamentary State Secretary, Peter Bleser, the Vice-President of DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft), Prof. Dr. Achim Stiebing, presented the certificate and medal in the Kaisersaal in Potsdamer Platz.

Sales activities – successful entry into the Asian market at the start of 2014.

2017-1

Acquisition of the sterile beverage segment of the company Immergut GmbH

On the 1st of May 2017 the sterile drinks segment of company Immergut GmbH was taken over.
